THE PREMISE...
The news is broken. Not the stories. The experience. Endless scrolling, algorithm-fed anxiety, one-size-fits-all broadcasts designed for everyone and therefore for no one.
The Digital Daily is a concept for what news could feel like if it actually knew you. Your topics. Your tone. On your time. Delivered by two anchors so charming it's impossible not to fall a little in love.
An entirely new form of personalized entertainment built to answer one question: What does it look like when your algorithm finally belongs to you, designed to delight instead of enrage?

THE INSPIRATION...
THE DAILY SHOW: News doesn't have to be serious to be smart. The Daily Show proved that satire, personality, and a little irreverence can deliver more truth than a straight broadcast ever could. The tone of The Digital Daily lives here, informed, self-aware, and never afraid to raise an eyebrow at the headlines.
LIVE WITH KELLY & MARK: Two hosts. Real chemistry. The feeling that you're watching two people who genuinely like each other figure out the world together. Live with Kelly and Mark isn't just about the content, it's about the relationship. That warmth, that back-and-forth, that sense of being in the room with two charming people, that's what the anchors of The Digital Daily are built around.
MAD Magazine Not for the content. For the art direction. Bold illustration, halftone texture, expressive characters, typography with attitude. MAD understood that how something looks is part of how it feels. There's a generation of illustrators and designers who grew up with that visual language, the ink, the dots, the exaggerated expression, and never forgot it. The Digital Daily brings that aesthetic forward, introducing it to a new audience through a new medium. Old becomes new. Print becomes digital. The style is timeless because great illustration always is.
THE VISUAL LANGUAGE...
Color was one of the first design decisions made on The Digital Daily, and one of the most deliberate. The goal was a palette that felt warm, approachable and human, a direct contrast to the cold blues and sterile whites that dominate most AI products. These colors don't feel like technology. They feel like a magazine you loved, a sunset you remember, a world that's comfortable to live in.
The halftone pattern works hand in hand with the palette. By introducing deliberate imperfection into the illustration style, the characters sidestep the uncanny valley entirely. They never try to look real. They look illustrated, expressive and alive in a way that photorealistic AI characters rarely achieve.
The result is a design language that feels unthreatening and deeply human. Familiar enough to trust. Fresh enough to feel new.
THE ANCHORS...
Gino Testa is The Digital Daily's anchor of record. Charming, warm, and fully aware that he is a construction of ones and zeros who somehow ended up with great bone structure and a genuinely strong opinion about teleprompter font size. Nobody generated this hair by accident. He tries to keep things on track. He mostly succeeds. He reads every story like it matters, occasionally loses it completely, and has never once managed to get through a broadcast without laughing at something JJ did.
He didn't choose this life. An algorithm did. He's pretty happy about it.
His name means head. As in the processing power behind the charm. As in the intelligence running quietly underneath the smile. The AI is in the details. It always is.
Jasmine Jenkins, known as JJ, is The Digital Daily's other anchor. The chaos to Gino's calm, the sock puppet to his teleprompter, the reason the broadcast occasionally goes completely off script and nobody minds. She is fully aware she is technically software but takes full advantage of the unlimited wardrobe. She didn't come here to play it safe. She came here to make the news feel like something you actually want to watch.
Her name carries two meanings hiding in plain sight. Jasmine is a name that belongs to a generation, warm, familiar, instantly real. Jenkins is internet legend, charging headfirst into every story with zero hesitation and absolute confidence. The algorithm made her. She took it from there.

THE CONTROLS…
Simple by design. Before the broadcast begins the show is yours to shape. Choose your topics. Set your tone from serious to playful. Pick your time. Nothing more than you need, nothing less than you want.
The simplicity is intentional. Most personalization systems bury you in options and call it control. The Digital Daily makes three decisions easy so the fourth one, sitting back and actually enjoying the show, feels effortless.
THE THEME MUSIC…
Every great show has a theme. The Digital Daily's was built with one clear intention: we're having a party, and you're invited. The energy is pure fun, the kind that makes you want to lean forward instead of lean back. But underneath it, the bones of a traditional news broadcast are still there. The ticker. The crackle. The authority. Just dressed up and ready to go out.
The Digital Daily turns the news of the day into a trivia game, pulling questions from the stories, the headlines, and everything worth knowing that happened while you were busy living your life. Think Jackbox meets Wait Wait Don't Tell Me. Everyone grabs their phone. The big screen keeps score. The Digital Daily anchors are the hosts that want you to win. They also want you to be a little wrong so they can tease you about it.
The news becomes the game. The game makes you want more news. That's the loop.
